Fairfield AD has vibrant, experienced and dedicated board of directors a small biography of these individuals is included below. Pictured from the right and in order:
Chris Walsh – Chairperson and the director responsible for environmental performance. Chris helped establish Fairfield Materials Management in 2002 and plays an active role in a number of social enterprises across Greater Manchester. He has a degree in Physics and Environmental Science and postgraduate diploma in Sustainable Development and Environmental Management giving him the proficiency to maximise Fairfield’s environmental performance.
Elizabeth Mutch – Treasurer. Liz is an expert in marketing and public relations, working for Creative Concern, a leading marketing company within waste management. Liz has eight years experience in marketing and public relations across a range of sectors from museums, heritage and interiors to waste management and the hospitality industry. Current Creative Concern work has included managing the media campaign for Defra’s New Technologies In Waste project between 2004 and 2007; working with Recycling Action Yorkshire to develop a brand and communications strategy and co-ordinating the PR for the Northwest’s regional centre for regeneration excellence.
Emma Smith - Company Secretary, director and Projects Manager responsible for Health & Safety (H&S). Emma is a co-founder of Fairfield Materials Management, and has driven the enterprise forward into the award-winning enterprise it is today. Emma has been instrumental in Fairfield securing PAS 100, adopting best practice health & safety practices and becoming financially sustainable. Emma has gained WAMITAB (Waste Management Industry Training & Advisory Board) Certificate of Technical Competency, has an MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development and has extensive experience of working with the Environment Agency (EA).Jeremy Nicholls - Jeremy is a chartered accountant, and well-known social entrepreneur (establishing the Cat’s Pyjamas in 2002) who is an associate of the new Economics Foundation, an associate Fellow of the Said Business School and a member of the European SROI Network. Jeremy brings unparalleled experience of social enterprise and business development together with strong financial management skills.
